Description

THE KING OF ROCKABILLY and early Rock, DALE HAWKINS on this 60 year old record, OH! SUZY-Q, ORIGINAL on Chess LP 1429, high fidelity, 1958.   Great cover photo of Mr. Hawkins and on back informative  liner notes and the titles you will hear.  Just 19 at the time of this recording, Mr Hawkins stellar career began with this LP.   The album/sleeve is VG with some edge, corner and ring wear.  There is predictable age wear on the cover and on the back near the edges.   The record is G+ with scuffs, mars and tiny scratches that create predictable static on some of the titles. Basically, this awesome record plays better than it looks, a testimony to the song styling and exceptional musicality of  Mr. Hawkins.  At 60 years old,. the LP still sounds terrific.
