Sweden’s premiere thrash metal act! Anyone in Uppsala who had the least interest in metal back in the 80's was certain that Damien were destined for a lucrative record deal and an immediate international breakthrough. Success eluded them however, but the music lives on in the hearts and minds of their fans. The five official demo tapes and the sole 12" EP have been professionally transferred onto two full length vinyls, to a total of about 100 minutes of stellar thrash metal. These vinyls are housed in a gatefold sleeve and come with a 28 page A5 booklet, filled with information and rarely seen photos.

DAMIEN was with their exquisite combination of aggressive Destruction-esque thrash and atmospheric doom with guitar hero ambitions completely unique. So are the band to this day with tracks like “The Watcher” and the title track “Memorandum”, which you will not find the likes of elsewhere.

The singer Tommy Agrippas (ex-Hexenhaus) voice is so raw that it makes my eyes tear and considering that the majority of these tracks originate from demo cassettes the sound on this 2-LP release is amazingly well-preserved. The sheer love that has been invested in the generous booklet shows that the reverence for Damien between 1982 and 1988 is justified. This is a gem.
