The album that never will be! Now totally blocked for release due to contractual disputes, this is an ultra rare vinyl promo of the stunning collaboration between Danger Mouse, Sparklehorse and film director/artist David Lynch (Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive) titled"Dark Night Of The Soul".
The 13-song record features a huge list of guest vocalists including the Flaming Lips, Julian Casablancas from The Strokes, James Mercer of The Shins, Jason Lytle of Grandaddy, Iggy Pop, Frank Black of The Pixies, Vic Chesnutt, Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals and Suzanne Vega.
But is it any good?! Each song feels tailor-made for its vocalist, and the production blends woozy electronics with dreamy organics to create a record that envelops you as it unfurls.
Originally out in book/blank CD edition, these hard to find LPs are the only way you will get this officially on vinyl - do not sleep!
