Description
Very rare set of TWO (2) ONE-SIDED 7" 45 rpm DEMONSTRATION ACETATE RECORDS from approximately 1970-1971 featuring singer-songwriter DANIEL MOORE'S (born 1941) recordings of his tune, "One More River To Cross."
The song was later recorded by the likes of legendary rock band CANNED HEAT (the title track off their 10th album, their debut album for Atlantic Records, which was released in 1973) and KIM CARNES (1971)!
One of the acetates features Moore performing a slow version of the song solo with just his acoustic guitar! The other features a full-bore, up-tempo rockin' version featuring Moore with full band! Not sure if either of these versions made it on to Moore's 1971 self-titled solo album for ABC/Dunhill (DS-50094)
Moore would go on to write the song "Shambala," which was a hit for both THREE DOG NIGHT and B.W. STEVENSON. He also co-wrote (with Stevenson) "My Maria," which was a smash hit for Stevenson and later, country music duo BROOKS AND DUNN. He's also written tunes covered by the likes of WAYLON JENNINGS ("Jack-A-Diamonds"), etc.
Both acetates are visually in nice VG+ condition, and exhibit some pops and crackles usually inherent with old acetates.

(M) MINT: Perfect, flawless, new
(NM) NEAR MINT: Almost perfect, possibly no more than a few MINOR scuffs, wrinkles or wear.
(EXCELLENT/VG++) Less quality than Near Mint, but still in beautiful condition.
(VG+) Very Good+. Some scratches or scuffs, some surface markings, some wear, etc. Nice overall.
(VG) Very Good. Too many scratches, scuffs, or wear for VG+, but still in okay condition.
(VG-) Very Good-. Lots of wear (scratches, etc.). Starter copy.
(G) Good. Wrecked. Excessive wear.
(P) Poor. Just what it says.
