IN TIME / ROBERTA ... 7-inch, 45rpm OST single by ORCHESTRA DANIELE PATUCCHI. Original Italian promo pressing on CAM label (CAM AMP 108), from 1973. Little known Italian soundtrack obscurity with killer lounge themes that many OST / Library collectors will have never actually heard before ;) A personal favourite and brilliant double-sider by the maestro :) Mood music similar to the early '70s giallo / horror thriller sound but we've no idea of the original film source of this release (maybe sexploitation or even a TV product placement item for Roberta 'intime' Italian lingerie). Whatever, expect 2 super-stylish and sleazy examples of psychedelic lounge by Patucchi. Infectious funky bossa with electric harpsicord and ghostly hammond motifs / groovy Brazilian guitar notes / latin congas / gliding strings and intricate, tempo shifting rhythms throughout IN TIME. The ROBERTA theme sounds like a continental '70s pop take on the Andrew Oldham Orchestra but with thumping B-boy drums cum hip hop beats / harpsichord / hard piano and heavy basslines. Great for DJs. Booming production sound. Difficult for us to decide which side is best but our soundclip opens with the cinematic flight to Rio of IN TIME (elegant a la Piero Piccioni but with a seedy filmic undercurrent of the period) followed by the beats and soft funk refrain of ROBERTA. Minimal yet striking sleeve artwork too. Rare OST 45!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition (closer to M-) with a few hairlines / mini light scuffs. Some light surface noises. Booming production sound. Small, black marker pen line covering the "promotional" wording to both sides of label (see photo). The soft card picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition overall with light wear. Natural age discoloration. A couple of faint stains from storage to upper spine side. Some light ring wear / ring dirt marks. A touch of corner wear in places. Rare OST 45!!!
