Description
"Treasury Star Parade" radio show transcription disc produced by The United States Treasury Department. Two Complete 15 minute radio programs on this 16 inch, vinyl, 33 1/3 rpm disc. This disc was issued to radio stations for broadcast only and not available to the general public, very rare
These radio programs were produced to promote the sale of War Bonds during World War Two. Disc is circa 1942-1943
"Treasury Star Parade" radio program #10 hosted by Frederick March featuring a story of American War production after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, the theme of the program is "Production Now". 15 minutes
"Treasury Star Parade" radio program #11 hosted by Frederick March and starring Danny Kaye, who is introduced by March as "A Young Lad Named Danny Kaye". Danny Kaye performs a funny skit in a Russian dialect and then sings the song "Molly Malone". Kaye's wife, Sylvia Fine is one of the writers of the program and plays piano on the program. Program also features a short sketch by Frederick March titled "The Average American". 15 minutes
Disc is in Excellent- Condition with Excellent- sound, Beautiful Disc!
