Jazz Side 1. Sombre Guitar Side 2. Badinage

French jazz-funk outfit Danser's Inferno resurface here via Panorama Records with a seven-inch reissue of a long-sought cut from their elusive early-70s catalogue. Recorded in 1973, 'Sombre Guitar' has quietly circulated for decades among jazz heads and deep-digging DJs, prized for its balance of motion and mood. Rolling congas and a driving kit lock into place beneath tight horn figures, while the title guitar line drifts calmly through the centre and gives the track its reflective pull. It's a piece that works instinctively on the dancefloor, yet still invites close listening. Flip-side 'Badinage' keeps the energy buoyant, rounding out a release that finally brings a cult favourite back into easy reach.
