DAPHNE    “Barzabu”

Single 7”

Decca / Valentim de Carvalho SPN 127

1972  Portugal

This is an ultra-rare single recorded by Portuguese female singer Daphne. She was in fact the wife of Nuno Rodrigues, later one of the leaders of the Prog Rock legends Banda do Casaco, therefore it comes as no surprise that both songs here are written by him. Daphne was also a guest member in some of Banda do Casaco’s records.

If you already have and treasure Banda do Casaco first and highly coveted first record, "Dos Benefícios dum Vendido no Reino dos Bonifácios" (mentioned in Hans Pokora “4001 Record Collector Dreams”), and you wonder how did that extraordinary music came from, you will surely love this record.

Don’t lose your chance of getting this obscure record, which you don’t see around everyday!
