Description
Dark Truth - Ring Through His Nose / So Hard To Share/ Great Balls Of Fire/ Peaceful (Fanfare UK 1966?) VG+
Unknown private EP from Swiss Cottage, London based custom private label that also issued acetates. No info on Google or anywhere else for that matter. I'm guessing this is from around 1966/5 and it reminds me of the sort of stuff Duffy Power was doing back then, that eventually got released on his Innovations LP. The music is fascinating jazzy mod / rhythm and blues and while the recordings are low-fi, the band can really play. All 4 tracks have merit, even the raw cover of Great Balls Of Fire, though I've left that one for the lucky buyer to hear. Not a great quality pressing with a little light surface noise but looks nice with just a few light surface marks and plays fine.
Listen to 3 tracks taken from the actual EP for sale:
Track 1: So Hard To Share
Track 2: Ring Thro' His Nose
Track 3: Peaceful
Grading
M- As new, no marks of any kind whatsoever.
EX Perhaps a few featherlight whispy marks, but no scratches or deterioration in sound
VG+ Some light marks on the vinyl, but nothing that should cause clicks or pops, just occasional light surface noise.
VG Some heavier marks and maybe a few scratches that will cause some noise, but will still be a very enjoyable listen with definitely no sticks or skips or constant surface noise.
