Description

DARRELL BANKS OUR LOVE (Is in thePocket) / OPEN THE DOOR TO YOUR HEART - a great Northern Soul double-header 45 on STATESIDE SS 536 released in 1966.

On auction is a DARRELL BANKS 45rpm single entitled OUR LOVE (Is in the Pocket) c/w OPEN THE DOOR TO YOUR HEART released on STATESIDE SS 536 in 1966. This is the sought after FIRST PRESS from 1966 - which has the 'SOLD IN UK..' credit on the labels. [The 1968 pressing does not have this credit and is generally considered to be the less collectable version of the two]... So this is a FIRST PRESSING as follows:    

  • The disc is in VG+ condition - with a lovely sheen on the vinyl on both sides of the record.
  • The record labels are very clean and clear with a few spindle marks.
  • The record is housed in its original blue STATESIDE company sleeve.
  • I have just test-played [both sides] of this Darrell Banks iconic Northern soul 45 and they sounded great on my BOSE hi-fi.
