Description
From my personal collection, here is a scarce vintage first pressing jazz LP featuring DAVE BAILEY SEXTET on the EPIC label, from 1960. Title is “GETTIN’ INTO SOMETHIN’.” Catalog number is BA 17011, stereo pressing.
Record is medium thick vinyl, with deep groove. Label is yellow with black sawtooth design and black print.
Outstanding lineup, as follows: DAVE BAILEY – drums; CLARK TERRY – trumpet; CHARLIE ROUSE – tenor sax; HORACE PARLAN – piano; CURTIS FULLER – trombone; PECK MORRISON – bass.
Side 1:
- Slop Jah (Terry)
- Little Old Mongoose (Terry-Moore)
- Evad Smurd (Terry)
Side 2:
- Blues for J.P. (Parlan)
Vinyl: Condition is gorgeous near mint. Has full brilliant original gloss. No marks or blemishes of any kind, this is an absolute beauty. Fidelity is awesome. I am certain the winning bidder will be very pleased.
Jacket: Jacket is in very nice condition. Nice bright art work and clean white reverse, the seams and spine are excellent. There is a bit of ring wear starting to show on the front at the top, and the corners show some wear. Small slight bend at top left corner. No writing, except on reverse is stamped “Demonstration – Not For Sale.” Overall a fine jacket you will be proud to display.
Labels: Labels are clean and pristine except for a “promo” sticker on the A side. (see photo image).
Payment: For your convenience I accept most payment forms including PayPal, Western Union, and international postal money orders, registered currency, and other direct payment methods.
I welcome international bidders, and I am happy to ship to anywhere in the world.
Shipping is $3.75 to anywhere in the U.S. via USPS media mail, (insurance, priority mail, and overseas shipping available at additional cost).
