On offer here is an EXTREMELY RARE original issue of the historic first album by Sydney-based INSTRUMENTAL combo, THE DAVE BRIDGE TRIO.  Many Aussie performers were given the opportunity to record a SURF BEAT 45 during 1963-64.  However, only a lucky few ever managed to release a full length long-play album.  This LP would not have sold well at the time – let’s face it, who could actually afford the original asking price (52/6).

G front: matt finish: heavy handling wear with light ring-wear (mainly top & bottom), creasing, spot staining, overall discolouration/grubbiness & scuffing along all seams (top has fared better than spine & bottom).  130mm seam split along spine (centre), seam split from opening edge (10mm top, 240mm bottom), 20mm cover tear - upward from bottom seam (closer to spine).

back: flipback—matt finish: heavy handling wear with moderate ring-wear, creasing, spot staining (more noticeable along opening edge) & overall discolouration/grubbiness, 30mm cover tear - right from opening edge (closer to top),  Original price ‘52/6’ (crossed out) (top-right) & discounted price ‘27/6’ (top-centre) written in pencil—both are very hard to see.

Record:

Side 1: visual: still retains a good lustre despite numerous scuffs & surface scratches (G); audible: heavy surface noise/crackle and the occasional pop, however the music still dominates; unfortunately two skips on track 1 (FAIR); labels: heavy spindle wear.
