Description
Dave Clark Five "Catch Us If You Can" original 1965 LP soundtrack to the movie (features 4 songs I think).
Rare! Early pressing, possibly a first press! (see below for description).
This LP is in fantastic condition, and although it has been played a few times, it looks like a solid VG+++/EX condition. A great copy. Really excellent. Not trashed in any way, and very well looked after.
The vinyl is quite heavy and the matrix numbers are stamped into the run out groove XAX 2883. The Blue and Black Columbia label carries the 33SX 1756 catalogue number. The tax code KT is visible through the side 1 label, and I think I can see the letter P on side one and R on side 2.
There are some spindle traces but otherwise the labels are very clean. There is a hairline mark on the run out groove of side 2 (not during the music). Otherwise the vinyl looks almost like new.
The Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. cover is heavy, the "flip back" style, and has no major creases or problems, and is extremely flat. I've tried to show the condition in the photos by reflecting light across it, it is super-flat and thick! There are 2 very small knocks at the opening edge, which have just nicked the laminate, but the cover is still in super condition, is very solid and fine looking, really flat and heavy. There is a small amount of corner wear, the laminate was never applied to the very top left corner, and a small amount of wear to the back cover.
Overall its a super early copy of this rare LP, and It must be worth the opening bid of £28.00!! You would find it hard to see a better one! Its worth it for the Bruce Fleming cover shot! A rare LP in this condition, and A VERY EARLY PRESSING from 1965. In fact, it would be hard to find a photo that says "1965" more than this cover shot! Its a classic sleeve!
