Description
This is an extemely rare 1968 Pye UK 45rpm EP record by Dave Davies from The Kinks entitled 'Dave Davies Hits' Catalogue No. NEP 24289. The tracks are as follows:
SIDE 1
1. Death Of A Clown
2. Love Me Till The Sun Shines
SIDE 2
1. Funny Face
2. Susannah's Still Alive
The record plays very well on both sides. The vinyl is very clean with hardly any noticable marks or scratches. There is a square stain approx. 15mm x 10mm on the label of Side 1 due to the removal of a sticky label (removed a long time ago therefore not sticky). No writing on the labels or cover. There is some creasing on the front cover which has caused the laminate to come away a little bit. Having said that, the record is in very good condition and the vinyl still looks very fresh and clean.
As can be seen from the Side 1 photo, there is a slight manufacturing defect around the solid centre and the centre hole is slightly too large (assume another manufacturing fault).
Using the 'Record Collector Grading Ready Reckoner', I would grade the record/cover as VG/VG. It would probably be nearer to EX/EX if it wasn't for the label stain and creasing on the cover (not sure how the manufacturing faults effect grading).
