Vinyl Record Grading Scale
Sealed Jacket sealed closed/shut in shrink wrap; disc sold ungraded or "as is" NM Appears unplayed and will have no marks, sleeve scuffs, or scratches. We rarely use this grade.VG++ This may have one or two visible imperfections, (sleeve scuffs, very light scratches or other superficial marks) that will not affect play. VG+ Has a few visible imperfections. These may include sleeve scuffs, light scratches, or other superficial marks. VG Same imperfections found on VG+ records but in slightly greater numbers. Records graded VG and above will not have any scratches that are deep enough to be felt with a fingernail. VG- Has a number of visible imperfections; the presence of a considerable number of light scratches will force a VG- grade, as will the presence of significant isolated defects such as scratches deep enough to be felt with a fingernail. G Pervasive imperfections of varying degrees including both light scratches and scratches deep enough to be felt with a fingernail.

NM Cover & inserts perfect in almost every way, we rarely use this grade
VG++ Cover may have one or two visible imperfections, (Very mild corner wear, catalog sticker, or other superficial marks or stickers) No Ring Wear or Seam Splits
VG+ Cover has a few visible Imperfections, (Very mild ring Wear to One or Both Sides, Discoloration, Hole Punch or Corner Cut, Very mild Corner & Edge Wear/Fray, catalog sticker or other superficial Marks or Stickers) No Seam Splits.
VG Same imperfections found on VG+ Album Covers but in slightly greater numbers, Album Covers graded VG will have some Seam & Corner wear but no Seam Split
VG- Album Cover has a number of visible imperfections including, (intermittent seam splits, catalog & other stickers, Edge & Corner wear/ fray, moderate to heavy Ring Wear Front & Back, hole punch, corner cut, catalog sticker or other stickers.
G This Grade will only be used for Album covers that are Very Rough (but hanging in there) will have Severe Seam Splits and all of the VG- imperfections.
All of our records are visually graded by our owner using a bright lamp and light on a well-calibrated turntable.
NOTE: We also take multiple pictures of both Sides of the Vinyl Record, Label, Cover & Inserts under bright Lights.
WE WILL BE USING WHIPLASH LP MAILERS THAT HAVE THE ROLLED OUTSIDE EDGE (BUMPERS) ON EACH SIDE (LEFT & RIGHT), WE HAVE RESEARCHED MANY BOXES AND THESE SO FAR HAVE BEEN THE BEST THAT WE HAVE FOUND.
ALBUMS WILL BE SHIPPED IN THE PAPER SLEEVE, LAID ON TOP OF THE ALBUM COVER, THEN PLACED IN A PLASTIC PROTECTIVE SLEEVE,THEN PAPER OR BUBBLE WRAPPED AND TAPED USING BLUE PAINTERS TAPE FOR EASE OF UNWRAPPING & SO THERE WILL BE NO MOVEMENT DURING SHIPPING. WE ALSO MAKE SURE THAT THIS PACKAGE IS ADEQUATELY PADDED IN THE BOX SO THAT IN WILL NOT MOVE IN THE BOX.
FOR COMBINED SHIPPING WE WILL FOLLOW THE SAME PROCESS BUT EACH RECORD & COVER WILL HAVE A CARDBOARD INSERT IN BETWEEN & IN A LARGER BOX. WE WILL INVOICE YOU THE WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER EACH COMPLETED AUCTION AND THEN GIVE YOU AN EXACT (ACTUAL COST) SHIPPING QUOTE FOR YOUR TOTAL ORDER.
