Description
1971 UK RCA SF 8244 'Hunky Dory', the non-laminated sleeve issue with the lyric sheet.
The sleeve is solid yet with some edge wear, corner creases and ringwear. I give it 7 /10 for condition.
Weighing 135g on my scale, the record is flat and shiny. The hand inscribed matrices in the dead wax run-offs are APRS.5947.A.1E and APRS 5948-3E respectively.
NIce clean labels as shown with no real sign of play at the tight spindle holes.
Angling the disc under a bright light I see some scuffs and light hairlines, probably due to handling and 'bag' rash in the past. Anyway, visually I give it 7 /10 also.
The lyric insert is intact but has creasing and a stain on Side One.
Giving the vinyl a twirl on my hi-fi it plays well. Has some clicks and pops on the quieter sections so a good clean wouldn't go amiss but otherwise it sounds good to my ears so let's say another 7 /10 for the audio quality.
