DAVID BOWIE – CAN’T HELP THINKIG ABOUT ME / AND I SAY TO MYSELF – AUDIODISC ACETATE
A rare two single sided 6.5' Audiodisc acetate by David Bowie. Titles are: 'And I Say To Myself (2'25)' and 'Can't Help Thinking About Me (2'43)'
These two songs were released on a single in England in 1966.
I don't know if the acetate versions are different from the released version.
On the labels of the acetates there are two stickers each.
Condition of disc :
’Can’t Help Thinking About Me (2’43)’
There are marks on both sides of the acetate (the playing surface is better than the other side) but these have no significant effect on the playing quality.
The playing surfaces have a few light marks but nothing major.
The look I would grade Very Good but the playing quality is excellent.
Unfortunately someone draw on the label and rewrote the title.
'And I Say To Myself(2’25) '
This acetate's condition is very similar to the other one, but at the end of the song there is a strong background noise.
On the other side of the acete there is a shorter (18mp) version of the song which ends quite suddenly.
Proof of originality:
I have some more acetate from different bands (Beatles, R. Stones, Applejacks... etc). I took
some Beatles acetete to a well known auction house (Christies's) where after and expert carefully
checked them they went on sale and all of them were sold.Also I have some Beatles acetates and
those originality were confirmed by the sound engineer who made them. This David Bowie acetate
is from the same collection. I can prove all the above information and the buyer can be sure that
the acetate is original.
