DAVID BOWIE - "A KING BISCUIT SPECIAL - JOHN, I'M ONLY DANCIN' -- DAVID BOWIE'S RETROSPECTIVE OF THE SEVENTIES"...super-rare original (and OFFICIAL) 1980 three-LP radio show...(D.I.R. Broadcasting Corp., KB-298)...Indeed a retrospective of the 70's as seen through the eyes (and ears) of David Bowie....they asked him to select a bunch of songs that best represented that decade, he chooses eleven songs by others, plus 6 songs of his are played as well...but most of all, it's the wonderful interview with him, and his vivid insights into that period. The whole thing lasts two hours and is the complete radio show. This was to be played on the few U.S. radio stations that subscribed to D.I.R.'s releases, on 20 Jan. 1980 (only). I bought this in about 1983/84 from one U.S. radio station I dealt with regularly back then. It's been played ONCE only by myself and one would assume by the station too...but there are no spindle marks on any of the 6 labels and it 'looks' unplayed/brand new. Very few copies were ever pressed (it's generally assumed less than 200), and most of them either remained in the libraries/archives of the radio stations, or were destroyed, as part of the stations' contracts forbade them to sell them once the broadcast date passed. Comes in its original 3 separate plain white card sleeves, and includes 3 pages of cue sheets. 

ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?:    Yes, it is...

CONDITION - COVERs:  ( EX- )...they have some light 'foxing' (mild brown 'age-ing' spots)...

CONDITION - RECORDs:  ( MINT )...vinyl looks unplayed, as new...

CONDITION - LABELS:   (all are MINT)...

PACKAGING AND MAILING:  Absolutely ALL care will be taken when packaging this - record and sleeve will be separated to avoid any damage in transit, and both will be packed in a sealed outer light plastic sleeve between layers of strong very flat and thick card - I've been doing this for a while and have attained a good safe packing standard.
