Description
For instant sale is a copy of a first UK pressing from 1973 of the 'ALADDIN SANE' album by DAVID BOWIE on the RCA RECORDS label (RS 1001). A genuine first pressing, it has a gatefold sleeve and the matrix numbers end with 3T and 3T in the runout grooves.
The sleeve is in superb condition for its age with hardly any wear and hardly any of the 'grubbiness' that you usually find with this predominantly white sleeve. However, there is a mark on the front left upper corner just under the 'DAVID BOWIE' where a sticker has been removed but you can hardly see it unless you angle the sleeve towards the light. The spine is sharp, clean and fully readable. The original lyric inner sleeve is in excellent condition. Please study all the photos to see the condition for yourself. The labels are in excellent condition with just a few spindle trails. The record has several surface marks but no deep scratches. On playback it plays really well with a great sound but it does have occasional light surface noise ('crackle') and 'pops' and 'clicks' at times. However, definitely no 'sticks' or 'jumps'. The surface noise is not obtrusive and when the music kicks in then you can't really hear it at all. The record will be wrapped in bubblewrap before posting to ensure that it does not get damaged on its journey.
