In 1982, FORTY years ago, a thriller/horror movie came out, and was titled 'Cat People'. The music was done by Gorgio Moroder, and the theme song was sung by David Bowie. Bowie ended up remaking "Cat People (Putting Out Fire)", and adding it to his 80s smash hit album 'Let's Dance'. Bowie had Stevie Ray Vaughn work his magic on guitar, and the result was a different track with a different feel.
The movie had a premier in Los Angeles, and a special 7" picture disc for the movie's theme song was given out, and copies immediately became a true collector's item. Two versions were distributed, and this is the second version. The only difference is the artwork that's on the B side. The A side pics are the same, and is the black panther.
The actual vinyl looks really good, with only a few light surface marks on it. Nothing too bad, and hardly noticable. This will come in a plain and clear PVC sleeve. A great, rare, and scarce Bowie collectible to give as a gift, add to that always growing picture disc collection, and fans of David Bowie.
