Description
PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP
RARE barcoded UK/European Sonopress edition of this Eno-produced classic from 1984 on RCA International's Take Off! series black label with Made in Germany text at the bottom on the rear cover, TAKEOFF - HEROES listed as the title on the labels, bass clef symbol embossed inside the pressing ring on side two only and unique version of the title track sung in French AND English!!! LP is VG/VG+ with a few light paper scuffs. Cover is still in the original shrink wrap and beautiful. Even has the original $5.50 Wax Tax! Records (R.I.P.) price sticker and security strip on the cellophane in the top right hand corner on the front cover from when the legendary label ran a store on Lincoln Avenue here in Chicago decades ago and exclusively sold records that mattered. THAT'S provenance. The title track was featured prominently in the epic final episode of Stranger Things but you knew that.
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING~ MINT (SEALED) NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF US VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
