DAVID BOWIE, HUNKY DORY, UK RCA VICTOR VINYL LP, SF 8244 (LSP 4623) with INSERT

David Bowie – Hunky Dory

David Bowie (born David Robert Hayward-Jones, 8 January 1947 - 10 January 2016) was an English musician, actor, record producer and arranger. Active in five decades of popular music and frequently reinventing his music and image, he was widely regarded as an innovator, particularly for his work in the 1970s. He has been cited as an influence by many musicians and was known for his distinctive voice and the intellectual depth of his work.
This is not a perfect playing copy of the album but it does have a excellent cover which is hard to come by, it is prone to wear and tear and is hard to find a decent one! The cover and the insert have no mention of “MainMan” but the lable on side one does! See condition below.

Side One: Changes; 2. Oh! You Pretty Things / Eight Line Poem; Life On Mars; Kooks; Quicksand.
Side Two: Fill Your Heart / Andy Warhol; Song For Bob Dylan; Queen Bitch; The Bewlay Brothers.
The album is on RCA Victor Records, SF 8244 (LSP 4623). Matrix side one: APRS 5947-2E (stamped). Matrix side two: APRS 5948-3E (written).
Originally released in 1971. UK pressing. Stereo.
See photos for more info.

Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system)
Vinyl side 1: very good ((has a few noticeable marks and plays with a few light clicks/pops here and there but nothing that really spoils your enjoyment of the music, it’s still a great listen, plays with no jumps or sticks and minimal crackle).
Vinyl side 2: very good (has a few noticeable marks and plays with the very odd light click/pop here and there but certainly nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music, it’s still a great listen, plays with no jumps or sticks and minimal crackle).
Cover (matt): excellent (a few light creases mainly at the edges).
Comes with the original insert in very good condition - has a few small light stains and a few light creases!
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record.
Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler. Payment strictly by PayPal only. Postal discounts available for multiple purchases - Please email for details.  526 (GS 6.6.6 (526))
