AND PLAIN WHITE RCA COMPANY INNER SLEEVE, DIE-CUT WITH TWO FLIPBACKS - DATE CODED '1-79' (January, 1979)
Repeating the formula of Low's half-vocal/half-instrumental structure, Heroes develops and strengthens the sonic innovations David Bowie and Brian Eno explored on their first collaboration.
The vocal songs are fuller, boasting harder rhythms and deeper layers of sound.
Much of the harder-edged sound of Heroes is due to Robert Fripp's guitar, which provides a muscular foundation for the electronics, especially on the relatively conventional rock songs.
Similarly, the instrumentals on Heroes are more detailed, this time showing a more explicit debt to German synth pop and European experimental rock.
Essentially, the difference between Low and Heroes lies in the details, but the record is equally challenging and groundbreaking.

LABELS: MINT
Clean, unmarked labels - no spindle traces or signs the record has been played
VINYL Visual: MINT
Both surfaces are unmarked and shine like new
NOTE: I did not deep clean this copy as it looks so immaculate
VINYL Audio: MINT/EXCELLENT++
Gorgeous sound quality - crystal clear, deep, rich and finely detailed - beautifully recorded and engineered and my play-check at loud volume found nothing to fault on Side One and only a few ticks on the quiet/practically silent moments of the experimental pieces on Side Two (nothing unexpected - this is one of the cleanest playing copies I have heard)
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT++
A fine example with little wear to speak of - crisp, square edges and spine with all text clear and bold - some light storage rub to the surfaces the only minor thing of note (please see close-up photos)
INSERT: MINT
The lyric insert is clean, unmarked and appears untouched
