Description
Up for auction is a very early pressing of Hunky Dory by David Bowie, released in 1971 on RCA Victor, cat no SF 8244, a UK pressing. This copy comes in a laminated cover, which was discontinued very soon after the initial pressing; the vinyl is a first pressing with matrix numbers APRS 5917 3T / APRS 5918 3T. Bobil & Rasputin are etched into the dead wax.
Condition: the vinyl is rather worn with many marks on both sides, though no serious feelable gouges. There are traces of writing on the side 2 label, but no other damage. However, this is all about the cover, which is in pretty decent shape: some inevitable laminate creases, but no writing, tears, splits or serious damage. Vinyl probably grades “G”, cover is VG.
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item pictured here is the item for sale. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence!
