DAVID BOWIE

LIFE ON MARS / AMSTERDAM

RCA N 1689 (ITALY)

GRADE: Vinyl = ( G ) / Cover = ( VG )

This auction is for the extremely rare David Bowie - "Life on Mars" b/w "Amsterdam" 45 rpm vinyl record on RCA Records. The RCA stock number is N 1689 which is a 1973 pressing from Italy. Additionally, the B-side "Amsterdam" is not available on any standard David Bowie album. The vinyl has been well played and there is some circular wear on the labels. The cover shows some slight creasing mostly on the corners and some slight staining. Overall the sleeve is in very good condition. The back cover shows no signs of ring wear on either side. Please refer to the pictures in this auction which are photos of the actual item.

GENERAL CONDITION GRADING

( S ) SEALED = VINYL - assumed mint, never opened.

( M ) MINT = VINYL - absolutely perfect in every way, never played.

( NM ) NEAR MINT = VINYL - is nearly perfect with no obvious signs of wear. COVER - Should have no creases, folds, seam splits or cut-off holes.

( VG+ ) VERY GOOD PLUS = VINYL - may have scuff marks, very light scratches and signs of some wear but will still play almost perfectly with only barely detectable crackles or pops. A slight noise at the beginning is allowable. COVER - may only have the slightest signs of normal wear.

( VG ) VERY GOOD = VINYL - has light scratches, may crackle, pop or make other annoying noises, but only occasionally, and no more loudly than the music. COVER - has normal wear such as ring wear and split seams.

( G ) GOOD = VINYL - Has scratches, may have continuous crackles, pops and significant surface noise. COVER - has more than normal wear and tear.

( P ) POOR = VINYL - is cracked, badly warped and won't play through without skipping or repeating. COVER - barely keeps the record inside.

Please note that all items are visually graded only. I try and make the most accurate assessment of the item's condition but understand that it is through visual inspection only.
