Description

DAVID BOWIE LP

"THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD"

Original UK 1st pressing from 1971, bought by myself around early 1971 from a local record shop, comes with a quite delicate finely textured sleeve(designed by Keef). Released on a black/silver text Mercury Records label. A stereo recording, the disc comes with the original white "made in England, British patent no" poly-lined inner sleeve. The album was produced by Tonny Visconti', please note the 2 letter "t's" in tonny. The players on the record were:-David Bowie, Tony Visconti, Mick Ronson, Mick Woodmansley & Ralph Mace.

Cat.Number:- 6338 041.  Stereo.

Matrix Numbers:- 6338041 1Y//1 & 6338041 2Y//1, both matrix numbers are machine stamped in.

Track Listing.

1. THE WIDTH OF A CIRCLE
2. ALL THE MADMEN
3. BLACK COUNTRY ROCK
4. AFTER ALL
5. RUNNING GUN BLUES
6. SAVIOUR MACHINE
7. SHE SHOOK ME COLD
8. THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD
9. THE SUPERMEN.

Condition.

The Sleeve is nice and clean, has great front/rear panels, with some light wear to edges & spine, all spine text is perfectly readable apart from letter 'a' in david which has a small scuff, when srutinised there are some light touch-ups on SOME parts of edges and spine(not too obvious), condition is at least Very Good+.

Both Labels are in Excellent++/near to Mint condition, just a few light spindle marks only.

The Vinyl hasn't been played many times, has been very carefully looked after over the years, Visually graded in Excellent+ condition, plays with a few dust pops & the odd light tick here & there(absolutely nothing severe).

Brilliant vintage & very collectable David Bowie album, an extremely difficult one to find nowadays in nice shape.

Good luck and many thanks for looking.
