DAVID BOWIE - RARE ZIGGY STARDUST - RYKO PROMOTIONAL KIT - LP, CD BONUS TRACKS
This is the Promotional Only Kit for the 1990 RYKODISC issue of "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars". The package comes in a gatefold LP sleeve which contains a vinyl copy of the album, a CD with 5 bonus tracks.
The Promotional Only Kit's inner gatefold sleeve also features information about the Ziggy Stardust and Ryko re-release programme.

On the inside of the gatefold is the newly mastered Ryko CD version of "Ziggy Stardust" with 5 bonus tracks.
But here’s what makes this pack so brilliant - the gem of the set is a vinyl copy of the album which Ryko have made to look like the original RCA US release. The RCA logo has been mimicked as RYK, it is Dynoflex and the original US serial number (LSP 4702) has been slightly altered to read LSD 4702.
The album itself is a faithful copy of the original album (no bonus tracks) but it has been mastered to include some background noise (i.e. ‘what the album used to sound like’).
The whole package is very clever and really well done. This was NEVER commercially available and is a handsome and collectable package of one of the most important records of all time!
This copy is still sealed from my purchase and is in MINT CONDITION never been opened.
The photos are taken with the cellophane package still on so please be aware this is not to be mistaken for a laminated cover and the inside photo is a stock photo. The vinyl LP is BLACK and not clear as most Ryko LPs and is truthful to the original listings of the original LP and the bonus tracks are included on the attached CD which has been mastered minus the “background noise” as in the LP
