Description

DAVID BOWIE  "  THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD  "
  MERCURY  -  6338 041
  UK 1971

  • Matrice / Runout (Side 1 - Stamped): 6338041 1Y//1∇420
  • Matrice / Runout (Side 2 - Stamped): 6338041 2Y//1∇420
This is the first issue with the misspelt "Tonny Visconti" on the labels. Mercury corrected this and later UK Mercury copies state "Tony Visconti".
The first dress Drag cover pressing, promptly withdrawn, with "Tonny Visconti" mispressed on both labels..A record of the highest interest for any serious collector.
As you can see in the pictures the fragile textured  cover is in strong EX to M- condition , spine perfect and readable, record labels M- (with only one spindle mark in side 2), and  vinyl is in strong EX conditions , with only very light paper hairlines seen under a very strong sunlight, playgraded M- in my system. Keeper very beautiful last copy if you're not a Mint freak
