PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
David Bowie – The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars – This item has all the attributes of an Original First pressing. The record is the Original Shiny Orange RCA VICTOR pressing. Later pressings of the Album were pressed on Matt orange labels and / or thin Dynaflex vinyl. This copy is the original Shiny Orange RCA Victor label with regular heavier vinyl. Catalogue No SF8287, Matrix Numbers: Side 1 = BGBS 0864 1E & Side 2 = BGBS 0865 1E, year 1972. There is no “Mainman” credit on the sleeve or record, the label and inner sleeve have the “Titanic Music” credit and the labels have the glossy Orange finish. The record is complete with the inner Lyric sleeve and the Robert Stace sleeve. The Rear of the Sleeve has the “Gem Production” Logo without mention of Mainman beneath. The vinyl is visually in (VG) condition with a few faint surface marks / hairlines, and plays through very well, with a good punchy sound. The glossy Orange label is nice and clean with a small name neatly written in ink on the bottom right hand side of side one. The classic & delicate non-laminated picture LP sleeve is in (VG) condition with a few mild creases and light wear around the edges and spine. There is a small name neatly written on the back. The inner lyric sleeve has some crumples & creases and a couple of seam splits with a small name neatly written. This is becoming an increasingly difficult Album to find as a Complete Original pressing.
