DAVID BOWIE - "THE RISE AND FALL OF ZIGGY STARDUST AND THE SPIDERS FROM MARS" - VINYL LP
RCA VICTOR - SF 8287 - 1972 - UK 1ST PRESS 1E/2E matrix
Rare 1st UK issue of Bowie's classic 1972 album with 1st issue sleeve and printed inner.
The record is a UK 1st pressing with 1E/2E matrix, glossy orange RCA Victor label and with songs credited to 'Titanic/Chrysalis' (later changed to 'Mainman/Chrysalis'). The sleeve is the 1st issue with 'Gem Productions' credit and no 'Mainman' logo which only came with later pressings. It also comes with the 1st issue inner sleeve with lyrics.

CONDITION (vinyl/cover)
EX (a very nice copy with hardly any sign of play on the labels and a shiny surface with just a few light surface marks from sleeve removal; there are no serious marks or scratches that affect play; I played the album in full and can confirm it plays great throughout with EX audio and no surface noise that detracts from the music - no distortion, no repeating clicks and no loud crackle; the only thing worth noting is 1 brief noise from a mark in the gap between 'Lady Stardust' and 'Star' - it does not occur during the music)
/ EX (the 1st issue sleeve is in lovely solid & clean shape with flat bright surfaces, sharp edges & corners and no significant creases or wear - it just has some minor disc impression and a couple of mild creases; there is no writing, no splits, no stains, no tears)
1st issue inner sleeve is EX and in very nice clean condition with just light handling - no splits, no writing, no tears, no major creases
