Here I have a copy of
David Bowie
'The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust'
this is one of the rare 1st UK pressing variants of this iconic album and has the stamped matrices BGBS0864 1E & BGBS0865 1E on 'thick' vinyl .
The sleeve has the Robert Stace credit on the reverse, A Gem Production credit without the lower Mainman credit on the reverse. The 'glossy labels' & top lipped lyric inner sleeve have Titanic / Chrysalis music publishing credits.
on very rare original UK 1st pressing LP in picture sleeve with top lipped inner lyric sleeve & glossy paper labels
released on RCA Victor Records SF 8287 ( LSP 4702 ) BGBS0864/5 in 1972
The condition of the record is very good ( the record has a few light hairlines and light marks, the record actually plays through fairly well from start to finish. Five Years has a couple of light pops on the run in , followed by approximately 50 seconds in there is light crackle for approximately for 5 seconds and then approximately 1 minute 29 seconds in there are a a few light clicks / pops for approximately 5 seconds. There are a few light clicks on the end of the run out of ‘Moonage Daydream’. Other than these there really is just the very occasional light pop / light click on the quiet moments between the tracks )
The outer sleeve has mild ringwear & creasing on edges .
The inner sleeve has mild creasing.
The labels are clean with no spindle marks.
A great example of this iconic 1st UK pressing !
