Description

DAVID BOWIE - "The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars” LP

UK 1972 ORIGINAL VINYL STEREO ALBUM on RCA Victor SF 8287
[Matrix is BGBS 0864 1E on Side 1 - BGBS 0865 1E on Side 2 - 1st PRESSING]

Label is glossy RCA with “Victor” wording to the right (photographed) - 1st PRESSING
Label has the “Titanic Music/Chrysalis Music” credit - 1st PRESSING
Rear Sleeve has the “A GEM PRODUCTION” credit and not Mainman - 1st PRESSING

MATT SINGLE SLEEVE and LYRIC BAG INNER are both NEAR MINT (as pictured).
The LP has no spindle wear (as pictured) but there is small scuff on Track 3 on Side 2 (too small to picture) and is therefore NEAR MINT.  I honestly don’t think this copy has been played and after clean/vacuum dry on the Loricraft PR6 - I preferred to keep it that way.  The album is like the sleeve - incredibly crisp and clean.

Collectors will know that this is a very common album in the UK with huge numbers of represses - but because of the flimsy nature of the matt sleeve and especially the inner lyric bag -  1st pressings with all the credits right are impossibly rare in GENUINE NEAR MINT

I’ve put this on at set sale/buy it now price rather than auction.

P&P will only be sent via SIGNED FOR and INSURED

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The album (like all of mine) has been professionally washed and dried on the LORICRAFT AUDIO PR6 cleaning machine (pictured).

It's then placed in a new Poly-lined inner bag (with the original bag retained if there is one).?

These records don't just 'look' clean - they 'play' clean - and there's a huge difference.

All my LPs are sent in proper 12" mailers with two stiffeners (no dodgy jiffy bags).
Outer sleeve is in a HEAVY GAUGE PLASTIC and LP in a separate 200 gram polythene.
