Description

On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by David Crosby called "If I Could Only Remember My Name" and is an ORIGINAL 1971 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Red/Maroon (Plum) Atlantic label!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS WAS DAVID CROSBY'S FIRST & RAREST LP EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1971 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL - IS THAT IT IS 100% COMPLETE WITH ITS ORIGINAL 'COVER SASH'!!!!  AND THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!  WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED IN THE UK BACK IN 1971 - ALL 'DAY OF RELEASE' 1ST PRESSINGS CAME WITH A 'COVER SASH' TO PROMOTE THE LP (LATER ONES NEVER DID!) - WHICH HAD THE ARTISTS NAME, TITLE OF THE LP, AND THE PERSONNEL WHO PLAYED ON THE LP PRINTED ON IT.  TO ACCESS THE LP EASILY - THIS 'COVER SASH' HAD TO BE RIPPED OFF THE COVER, TO ALLOW THE RECORD TO BE PLAYED.  NATURALLY VIRTUALLY EVERY BUYER OF THIS LP THOUGHT NOTHING ABOUT THE 'COVER SASH' AND SIMPLY WANTED TO PLAY THE LP!!!!  SO THEY SIMPLY BROKE THE 'COVER SASH' OFF AND OPENED THE LP!!!!  HOWEVER, THERE WAS ANOTHER WAY (THOUGH 99.9% OF PEOPLE NEVER CONSIDERED IT).  THE PREVIOUS OWNER OF THIS LP WAS INCREDIBLY CAREFUL WITH HIS LPS AND INSTEAD OF BREAKING THE 'COVER SASH' , HE CAREFULLY SLID IT OFF THE LP, AND TUCKED IT NEATLY INSIDE THE COVER!!!!  NOW - I ALSO HAD TO SLIDE THE 'COVER SASH' ON AND OFF THE LP TO PHOTOGRAPH IT - AND IT REALLY IS INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT, SO YOU CAN SEE EXACTLY WHY EVEN THOSE WHO ATTEMPTED IT, COULDNT MANAGE IT!!!!  BUT THIS DOES MEAN - THAT FINDING THIS LP TODAY WITH A 100% PERFECT 'COVER SASH' IS ALMOST UNHEARD OF - AND PROBABLY THERE ARE LESS THAN A FEW HUNDRED COPIES LEFT IN EXISTENCE LIKE THIS!!!!  AND I HAVE TAKEN VERY CLEAR PICTURES ALL ROUND TO FULLY VERIFY THE SUPERB CONDITION OF THIS LP - AND THE 'COVER SASH' ITSELF!!!!  IT IS ALSO WORTH MENTIONING THAT SOME PEOPLE LIKE TO CALL THE 'COVER SASH' AN 'OBI STRIP' - BUT AS THIS CLEARLY ISNT A JAPANESE LP, THAT TERM ISNT APPLICABLE HERE!!!!  AND LUCKILY WITH THIS 'COVER SASH' IT IS VERY EASY TO VERIFY THAT THIS ONE IS 100% GENIUNE - AND NOT A COPY!!!!  FOR NOT ONLY IS IT LIGHTLY 'TEXTURED' - AND THERE IS A VERY FAINT LINE OF 'FADING' ON THE COVER & 'COVER SASH' WHICH ARE IDENTICAL IN WIDTH - AND CANNOT BE FAKED (SEE PICTURE!)!!!!  THE 'COVER SASH' IS ALSO IN 'JAW DROPPING' CONDITION (EVEN THE EDGES!) AS YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE IN MY PICTURES!!!!  BARELY ANY 1ST PRESSINGS OF THIS LP CAN POSSIBLY EXIST TODAY WITH THEIR ORIGINAL 'COVER SASHES' - AND IT IS VERY LIKELY INDEED THAT THIS IS THE BEST CONDITIONED EXAMPLE LEFT IN EXISTENCE!!!!  AND THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST 1ST PRESSING OF THIS INCREDIBLE LP THAT YOU CAN POSSIBLY GET!!!!

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN ABSOLUTELY SUPERB CONDITION AND HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL (ONLY ONCE OR TWICE AT THE VERY MOST!)!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1971 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS RED/MAROON (PLUM) ATLANTIC LABEL, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS 'MacNEILL' GATEFOLD COVER + 'COVER SASH'!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL Atlantic UK 1st Pressing from 1971 and is in SUPERB condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is 2401 005 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Atlantic Label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL (ONLY ONCE OR TWICE AT THE VERY MOST!)!!!!  The vinyl is in SUPERB condition!!!!  Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, NO scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL JUST PRESSED LOOK AND LOOKS SUPERB!!!!  It is also GREAT to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual!!!!  The record plays with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  The record must grade Excellent+ if not better!!!!  SUPERB RECORD!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in SUPERB condition!!!!  The 1st Press 'MacNeill' Gatefold Cover is in SUPERB condition!!!!  The cover has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), possible 'tipping in' of 1 corner tip, only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), NO ringwear, NO rubbing, NO sticker tears, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edges are beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!!  Even the inside of the cover is in SUPERB condition with NO grubbyness, NO yellowing, NO rubbing, NO ringwear, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade FULL Excellent if not Excellent+!!!!  SUPERB COVER!!!!  THE ULTRA RARE 'COVER SASH' IS IN AMAZING CONDITION - AND IT IS DIFFICULT TO IMAGINE HOW A BETTER EXAMPLE CAN POSSIBLY EXIST!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!

HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!!
