This may seem a stranger way to go about selling a record but stick with it. Recently I found myself doing a 750 piece jigsaw puzzles of Botticelli's, The birth of Venus. To my annoyance on completion a single piece was missing, and as politely as possible it happen to be an important revealing upper body part. This album is a piece that has been missing for 44 years. I'm a huge Crosby, Stills & Nash fan, not to mention the Dead. And the two groups were always drafting each other in on studio work. David Crosby at this time was working on a solo album that ended up coming out in 1972 called " If I could only remember my name ". The said members of the dead played a major part on the album. The above record was never released officially at the time, but there were bootleg copy came out in CDs later. Under the name Dave & the Dorks. This copy here is a 2014 press listed under Legendary live recordings. And I would have to say the material that was on the album " If I could only remember my name ", comes to life in the live setting. This is not surprising as the Dead best work was considered live work. If there is a moral to my antidote it's, When it comes to collecting vinyl, you never know when you'll find a Tit - bit.
PS: Never did find the jigsaw piece.
