Description: One of three (and quite possibly the scarcest) David McCallum albums produced in the late 60s, featuring exceptional production and arrangements courtesy of David Axelrod. With minimal involvement of McCallum, the set is for all intents and purposes an Axelrod solo showcase, and all the better for it. The master's trademark symphonic sound -- a singular fusion of pop, jazz, and R&B notable for its cinematic spaciousness yet intimate texturing -- is in full flower: the basslines percolate and the drums are milkshake-thick. DJs looking for breaks to sample will find an embarrassment of riches.
Guaranteed to be original and authentic. I do not sell bootlegs or modern reissues.
I pack all records in sturdy cardboard custom LP boxes for safe shipment.
The records are removed from the jackets to protect the cover.
Both the LP and jacket are sandwiched between additional layers of cardboard.
I am happy to combine purchases to minimize shipping cost. Second and third albums ship at no additional charge (will be refunded) when combined with initial purchase.
