DAVID OISTRAKH Violin Encores UK Columbia ED1 Blue & silver labels SAX 2253 accompanied by Vladimir Yampolsky.
Sleeve is the the first type fully laminated curved cut flipback, with the gold stereophonic sticker. Ok, one of these went for over a thousand pounds last month, so I am playgrading this very carefully. I am going to put it conservatively at Very Good Plus to excellent minus, with a stylus mark on the last track of side two, and patch of sleeve scuff to side one. There are a few static pops and some surface noise, but there are not any 50+ year old albums that play completely silently. The playing of Oistrakh here is absolutely sublime, with a great choice of encores. More great violin rarities to follow Sunday as well.
