Description
DAVID WELSH:Blue Lightning Accent (Blue Ash BAR1850/1980)
A rather unusual release from this noted Ohio local label. A monster guitar thrasher with barely coherent vocal slobberings and lyrics to match. A studio drummer doing his best to keep up while DW shifts directions and speeds on him every few seconds (so it seems). In other words, this album is what that poseur named Jandek wishes he could sound like.
The songs are split between heavy songs as described above that some may dare to call 'psych' and softer “ballads” (that some might confuse for downer folk) with acoustic guitar accompanying atonal mumblings.
This LP is starting to get notice due to its inclusion in the new Acid Archives book, and is being discussed on several music groups & boards, where it has been compared (ok, by me) to the legendary Heitkotter LP. Only a handful of copies have surfaced to date. The copy offered here was the first copy ever found. It is of course a spare.

Rock Drummer
The cover is VG (6" seamsplit on top seam starting at opening & somewear along rest of top; some tape residue along top in front where someone had tried to tape the seam closed; mild ringwear on front & back; small sticker stain in upper right corner). The record looks VG+ (small amount of light hairline marks and light blemishes). It plays Mint minus.
All LPs now cleaned on a VPI machine.
