„Miles in Tokyo“ ist ein Live-Album, das am 14. Juli 1964 vom Miles Davis Quintett (mit Sam Rivers, Ron Carter, Herbie Hancock und Tony Williams) im Tokyo Kōsei Nenkin Kaikan, Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan, aufgenommen wurde. Es ist die erste Aufnahme von Davis in Japan und das einzige Album, das eine frühe Inkarnation seines Zweiten Großen Quintetts mit Sam Rivers am Tenor-Sax nach dem Weggang von George Coleman zeigt. Danach vervollständigte Wayne Shorter mit seiner Ernennung die klassische Besetzung, die Alben wie „ESP“ und „Miles Smiles“ bis hin zu „Miles in the Sky“ aufnahm. Das legendäre Album „Miles in Tokyo“ ist nun zum ersten Mal in Europa auf Vinyl erhältlich. Das schwergewichtige Klapp-Cover enthält ein 4-seitiges Booklet, das wie bei der japanischen LP-Originalversion von 1969 eingeklebt ist.
