DEAD KENNEDYS Frankenchrist LP. Original 1985 USA Issue. Near Mint Original Packaging with Controversial Poster.
This copy of the original USA issued 1985 Frankenchrist LP on Alternative Tentacles Records of San Francisco is in about as good of condition as you'll find. The record and contents have been carefully stored since 1985, rarely seeing the light of day. I am the original owner.
- The album cover is in near mint condition and looks like it was just taken out of the shrink wrap. It has always been stored in a poly sleeve. There is no UPC code on the cover.
- The vinyl is in near mint condition, with minimal signs of handling and has probably only been played once since it was my habit in those days to record LPs to cassette on first listen and then just listen to the cassette after that. The etchings in the trailing groove include the texts "to cope is to cop out" and "The Full Rich Flavor of Stark Reality".
- The printed lyric/picture inner sleeve in also in near mint condition.
- There is also included the original pink mail-order form that was stuffed inside the album jacket.
- The poster of the H.R. Giger paining entitled "Penis Landscape" in in great condition - vibrant and near mint - and has never been hung and rarely handled. The poster has always been stored inside a poly inner sleeve inside of the album cover. There are no pin holes or stains. Although the poster looks great I want to point out a few minor flaws so there are no surprises: There is a light crease at one of the folds, visible near the very bottom, center of poster. There is a place in the upper portion of the poster where it looks like someone must have had the folded poster gripped with finger and thumb and let it flop a little causing a light dimple/crease that is visible (in two spots when unfolded), but not a serious distraction. There is also a very short hairline squiggle impression at one spot in the poster.

Keep in mind that there are weight limits on first class mail, so if you buy several items that would individually ship first class, the shipping method may have to be changed to Media Mail for USA or Priority for international if weight limits are exceeded. We promise to give a fair rate on combined shipping so you can buy without worry. Of course it is ok to ask about combined shipping costs up front too. (Only records, CD, books, magazines, video tapes and other media can be shipped with the media mail rate. That means that adding something like a coffee cup or a figurine to an LP order might not result in a good combined shipping rate.)
