With poster!! Superclean pressing in tip-top condition. Fantastic West Coast punk with the one & only Jello Biafra on vocals. Complete with printed inner sleeve which shows the lyrics of each track. This amazing HR Giger poster (see scan) was the reason for probably the largest musical censorship in American history. The poster is folded and still in perfect condition. This is the original ‘Made In France’ pressing, issued on ‘New Rose’ records which was released in the same year as the US pressing (1985). The top produced ‘Frankenchrist’ album was given 8/10 points by the FLEX book/website (US Hardcore/Punk)....and here’s as additional the comment of the wonderful FLEX.
- This album gained notoriety mainly for the poster; musically, this has the band trying to diversify a little more. Part of it is still the typical mid-tempo DK hardcore punk as heard on Plastic Surgery Disasters, some songs are in the faster hardcore vein of the Bedtime album, and others are more experimental and angular. It’s a good and diverse album, but not quite up to their old LPs. [8]
- Die Platte, die die größten Wellen in der Geschichte der Band schlug, allerdings nicht wegen der Musik, sondern wegen des beigelegten Posters des schweizerischen Künstlers HR Giger, das einen der spektakulärsten Zensur-Prozesse der amerikanischen Geschichte auslöste… Musikalisch hat man teils noch die typischen, mittelschnellen DK-Nummern à la Plastic Surgery im Programm; andererseits versucht man sich aber auch an schrägeren und avantgardistischeren Klängen, einige Tracks sind auch an den damals vorherrschenden schnellen HC angelehnt. Insgesamt eine gute, abwechslungsreiche Platte, die allerdings nicht ganz den Kultstatus der früheren Werke erreicht.

Versand / Mailing: alle Platten werden in einer neutralen weißen Hülle außerhalb des Plattencovers verschickt, um Beschädigungen am Originalcover zu vermeiden (all records will be sent in plain white sleeves outside of the picture sleeves to avoid any seam splits). Ebenso werden alle Platten entsprechend stabil in speziellen Schallplatten-Versandkartons mit zwei dicken Pappkartons verpackt (all records will be shipped in special LP record mailers, two cardboard paddings (the best) will be used to avoid bending).
Bezahlung / Payment: Deutsche per Banküberweisung. Non-Germans via PayPal. All orders outside Germany which exceed a value of €35, $50 or £30 will only be sent by registered mail. This requires the buyer to pay an additional €2, $3 or £2. All winners from Italy must pay for registered mail.
