Dead Sea Fruit – Self titled album
Combining the deadpan wit of the Bonzo Dog Band and the social-conscious lyricism of the Kinks, Dead Sea Fruit helped to bring the British Invasion of the 1960s to France. Formed in 1966, the group spent three years based in Paris thrilling French audiences with their hook-laden songs. Although all but two members relocated to Dakar, Senegal, electric bassist/guitarist/vocalist Arthur Marsh, who had replaced founding member Christopher Hall in early 1967, returned to England after three months when club owners demanded that they stick to cover tunes. This self titled album was their only album, released in 1967.

The album is on Camp Records, 603001. Matrix side one: 603001 A1 (stamped). Matrix side two: 603001 B1 (stamped).
Released in 1967. UK pressing. Mono.
Condition: (as Record Collector's grading system. If I see a mark it will be mentioned however light/small, apart from the usual very light paper scuffs/marks - usually caused by record being removed from the inner sleeve, which appear on nearly all old records and which are only visible under strong light)
Vinyl side 1: excellent (a few light superficial marks can be seen that do not affect the audio in any way, the audio is crisp and clear).
Vinyl side 2: good (has a big scratch that causes clicks over track one and two thirds of track two and another small scratch that clicks on the last fifth of track four. No jumps, skips or clicks though. The rest plays fine).
Cover (front laminated): excellent (some light corner wear, some spine wear, a few small laminate creases, slight discolouring on back - see photos).
The record plays with no jumps, skips or sticks and minimal crackle.
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record.
As this is a very rare record I have decided to auction it. This copy would be best used as a collection filler as side two has scratches and plays with quite a few clicks (see condition above). Do not expect it to play perfectly!

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
