Description
*Note: I am sorry that I had to take these records down from my other user name, but I found out that there would be a 3 week hold on all the payments coming in, and I am leaving to go on a trip this Friday, and need the money by then. That is why I am selling these records. I will make sure all records are shipped before I leave. I am so sorry about the inconvenience.
JACK WHITE / THIRD MAN RECORDS RARITY : Very rare and limited REVERSE version of THE DEAD WEATHER 7" "TREAT ME LIKE YOUR MOTHER b/w YOU JUST CAN'T WIN" on Jack White’s (White Stripes) Third Man Records, TMR 007. This single was made exclusively for the Third Man pop-up store in downtown Los Angeles and could only be purchased at the Bizarro Third Man store which was only open for a few hours on Wednesday, August 26th 2009. Internet reports indicate that only 100 copies of each Bizarro/reverse single were ever made, which promises that this series will be one of the most collectible runs in the Third Man catalog. Alternate cover art, and all the text on the cover and label are reversed. This single is mint and un-played (Because you can’t play it—there’s a special backwards label that covers the spindle-hole which would have to be broken in order to play them on your record player. That said, this special label is un-tampered with and the single was only removed from its sleeve to be photographed.)
The Dead Weather is of course the new band featuring Jack White (of The White Stripes and The Raconteurs), as well as The Kills frontwoman Alison Mosshart, The Raconteurs bassist Jack Lawrence, and Queens of the Stone Age guitarist Dean Fertita.
