DEAN CARTER-45-“Rebel Woman” b/w “Jailhouse Rock”-Milky Way Records #886M-0111-MONSTER 1966 Garage-Punk out of Danville, Illinois. Most of you are probably familiar with this DEADLY record from the ‘Ear-Piercing Punk’ comp from many years back which included the KILLER ‘Rebel Woman’-or recently the ULTRA Comp issued by BIG BEAT “The Midnite Sound Of The Milky Way”. If not-Both sides KILL!!! A side-total ‘No Friend Of Mine’/’Steppin’ Stone’ tremolo fuzz guitar dominated, tortured, gutteral over the edge lead vocal, a wailin’ sax in the mix-Killer cut. The flip is one of the most amazing KILLERS ever-a driving WAY over the edge version of ‘Jailhouse Rock’ with an insane trashy guitar dominating the wall of sound-lead vocals even more tortured and outrageous than A side, with one of the greatest over the edge lead guitar breaks...5-Star -2 Sided MONSTER! VERY RARE also...not many copies of this record exist...A ‘Holy Grail release, and I mean HOLY GRAIL!!!! Condition: Record is VG maybe VG-, possibly better-some very light surface scuffs visible in certain light angles, a couple of very slight, small surface scratches visible in certain light angles. Also a very slight small warp-almost can’t see it. Actually a really nice copy. Plays KILLER.
