Description
According to discogs, it says it's a Soleilmoon Recordings but there isn't anything on this record that would incriminate such a record label (til recent). Limited to 184 copies and this is no. 041. This copy has two postcards which, should only be with the limited to 500 copies of thee picture disc reissue and not this orange version but who knows for sure, discogs isn't the be all end all and Chris Connelly may have ended up yelling at some kid from Columbia College for selling the picture disc version instead of the orange wax version. Also something like a now defunked world serpent records, may have done what they were know for: Printing more and saying it's less. Whatevs about that though.
Death In June’s “Occidental Martyr” was originally released in 1995. It features screen actor Max Wearing reading lyrics to Death In June songs over a soundtrack recorded by Douglas P. specially for the album. Max Wearing appeared in Peter Weir’s “Gallipoli” (1981), and Richard Wolstencroft’s “Pearls Before Swine” (1999).
Another side note, ..."soundtrack recorded by Douglas P....." You are telling me he recorded come with the gentle people for the beyond the valley of the dolls soundtrack? Ha! Well, "Sampled" beyond the valley of the dolls is certainly heard on here and that's worth the price alone.
