DESCRIPTION

Deathride ‘69 - “The LP!” Gymnastics Records (UK) Gym 102 (Stereo) from 1988. Hard to find Original UK Import First Pressing Goth / New Wave / Alternative / Darkwave / Pop Rock album from Death Ride / Deathride ‘69 featuring Don Diego, Linda LeSabre and Wrex Mok with help from Danny Frankel and Dave Haas. My understanding from the included Gymnastics Recordings Insert is that this is the Vinyl version of the album has different Mixes form the CD version which was released on Little Sister Records as well as a different song order and one extra song. Further confusion is that Gymnastic was based in Germany but had offices in the UK and U.S. so the album cover bears the UK address but the Insert has all three with the U.S. shown first and my understanding is that all of their LPs were actually manufactured in Germany. Oh, and the LP was reissued in 1989 by Flipside Records under the title “Elvis Christ The LP” with different Artwork and a couple of different songs.
In the Original Cover with NO Cutouts, Promo Markings or Barcode! Includes the Original Gymnastics Recordings Catalog Insert Sheet.

CONDITION

The Sleeve is in nice shape. There is slight shelf wear, edge creasing and corner softening/wear. If you look closely you can see that the lower right corner got slightly wet, not really stained but a slight change in texture. Still solid with no splits, tears, writing, cutouts, etc. and would rate at least VG and really more like VG+ overall. The Vinyl is in pristine Glossy condition looking barely played. If you look closely you can spot a few light scuffs and faint hairlines but still very close to New condition. At least EX visually and plays pretty much perfectly Near Mint all through. The labels show a couple of faint spindle trails but are otherwise Near Mint. The insert sheet is Near Mint.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS

Records are graded to the best of my ability to Goldmine Visual standards. If I provide Play Grades it is done as a courtesy but I only guarantee the Visual Grade. If you are not familiar with this grading system (or even if you think you are!), please check it out before bidding. I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words:
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less!
