DECCA / SXL 6157 / 1964 STEREO RECORDING WBG FFSS ED1 LABEL 'ORIGINAL RECORDING BY'' 

DISC CONDITION: Visually Near Mint, needs light clean.  Plays Excellent+ (downgraded from NM due to light crackle in first minute of Side 2, remainder is superb)

SLEEVE: Excellent with light disc ring / INNER SLEEVE: Excellent-

ORIGINAL DECCA POLYVINYL INNER SLEEVE

ALL MY RECORDS ARE FROM THE EXTENSIVE PRIVATE COLLECTION OF A RELATIVE WHO IS AN EX DECCA EMPLOYEE.  THEY HAVE BEEN PROFESSIONALLY STORED IN CUSTOM MADE WOODEN STORAGE BOXES AND HAVE ONLY BEEN PLAYED (MOST ONLY ONCE OR NEVER) ON A GARRARD 301 DECK WITH DECCA PICKUP AND ARM.  

GRADING POLICY:

MINT / EXCELLENT / GOOD WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE VINYL FIRST, FOLLOWED BY THE COVER, SLEEVE AND ANY LIBRETTO

MINT:  APPEARS AS NEW, FLAWLESS.  I THINK THAT THIS IS IMPRACTICAL IN THE REAL WORLD FOR RECORDS THAT ARE 45+ YEARS OLD, VERY FEW WILL BE DESCRIBED AS MINT.

EXCELLENT: APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN PLAYED ONLY RARELY, MINOR FLAW(S) AS DESCRIBED.  FOR COVERS/SLEEVE ETC MINIMAL YELLOWING COMMENSURATE WITH AGE.

GOOD: CLEAR EVIDENCE OF PLAYING, WITH FLAWS AS DESCRIBED.  FOR COVERS/SLEEVE ETC FLAWS AS DESCRIBED.

I WILL NORMALLY SUPPLEMENT WITH A VERBAL DESCRIPTION OF  HOW I SEE THE RECORD.

POSTAGE AND PACKAGING COST:

UK Recorded 1st Class Mail - Single Disc £3.75 inc packaging.  Multiple discs at actual extra cost.  Note. Recorded 1st Class mail includes maximum compensation of £41, if you require extra insurance for more valuable items, contact me after the sale ends to discuss delivery details.  I will initially invoice postage at £3.75 by default and will only despatch within the UK by this method, so if you do not agree with this, please refrain from bidding.

Europe/Worldwide Airmail - Not as shown in P&P section as cost will be actual Airmail Small Packets price for your specific location + £1 for packing materials.  Maximum compensation for loss using this method is £41.  Approximate postage to Europe for a single disc would be £6 and for the USA £10.

For items significantly over £41, postage will be by 'International Signed For' which includes additional insurance and costs between £2.50 and £5.00 extra depending on destination. This protects both you and me.  Royal Mail has different maximum compensation limits, depending on the destination, and this is the limit of any compensation I can provide if a disc goes missing (provided Royal Mail pays out).  If you don't require this extra insurance, email me after the sale ends to discuss your requirements, but please note that due to issues with some countries postal systems, I may only send by the 'Signed For' service at my discretion.  For other countries, if this service is not used, I cannot be held responsible if a disc goes missing.  I have never yet had a disc lost in the post, but in poor weather they can take a bit longer than expected.

PLEASE NOTE THESE EARLY RECORDS ARE QUITE HEAVY, SO PLEASE CONSIDER THE LIKELY COST OF POSTAGE BEFORE BIDDING.  

In my experience, post and packaging costs are a very emotive issue on ebay and I will do my best to reduce such costs to the practicable minimum.  I usually make a small loss on postage and packing as I only use the highest quality custom packaging materials - please feel free to check the Royal Mail website to confirm the costs I quote.  Where practicable, I will combine purchases to save postal costs, but this is not always possible due to weight or package size.
