Description

Borrowing the great description below from an older listing of this record, I have altered the details to match my copy.

Here is the famous (or infamous) 1973 Decca HEAD 6 Kenneth Wilkinson recording of Roberto Gerhard's The Plague featuring Antal Dorati conducting the National Symphony Orchestra and Chorus.

It's a heavy piece of music, based on the Albert Camus work of the same name. The LP is a well-known audio blockbuster and was listed by Harry Pearson on the TAS List of recommended audio recordings.

It is rather rare, especially in this condition (EX close to NM). It has 1G and 3G stampers. The record sleeve is VG+ due to some creasing near corners, light spots near the bottom back, and slight lightening/discoloration on the left front cover. The record will come (cleaned on a VPI 16.5 machine) in a new anti-static inner sleeve, but with the original inner sleeve included, along with the insert booklet (libretto), all packed outside the sleeve in a new plastic outer sleeve sleeve. Shipped USPS Priority Mail.

I am a record collector selling off some pieces of my collection in an effort to downsize a bit and get some extra funds.
