Description
Please read this description very carefully,i will grade in accordance with the record collector grading system.This is a six disc box set,from the Decca series cat no LXT 2651-6.It is a complete recording made during the actual performances at the Bayreuth Festival Theatre,1951 with a distinguished cast of soloists and the Bayreuth Festival Chorus and Orchestra,conducted by Hans Knappertsbusch.It was once the property of the Gramophone Record Library,in Tottenham London.From 1962--1979,it was hired out approx 36 times in it,s lifespan,before being purchased by a collector who has owned it since.The box i will grade between fair-good,it suffers damage alonside the edges,some laminate lifting,and has been sellotaped at some point to strengthen,also has record of hires on page inside the cover, on a positive note things improve from here.The Libretto and booklet are in good condition,yellowing and a few stains,the Libretto has a sellotaped spine,with library stamp on the front.The discs grade between vg++++++ to excellent,on close inspection i saw three harmless light marks overall,i would say paper scuff marks,they have been very well looked after by persons previously,the labels have library ink stamps on them.The inners are in good condition,just yellowing,and light creasing.To sum up, a very rare and desirable item, the good point being that the discs are surprisingly in good shape,offered with a low start and no reserve,please feel free to email any questions,and thanks for looking.
