DECCA LXT 2721-2 Mahler Das Lied Ferrier Patzak Walter



DECCA LXT 2721-2.  2 lp set. Orange gold labels, original non laminated sleeves. Mahler Das Lied von der Erde. Kathleen Ferrier, Julius Patzak. vienna philharmonic, Bruno Walter. legendary recording.

Sleeves EX: only minimal wear, only discoloration. Great condition for these fragile sleeves!

the records are in EX+ condition, if not NM. Only a few ultra light superficial swiffs. shiny vinyl on all sides, no spindle marks! The record should be played with the right cardridge: a to narrow diameter can result in bad tracking. The record souded great with full sound and only minimal surface noise on my grado mono cartridge (normal for early mono). The best early copy I've ever seen!

Grading:

  • M: never used. I don't use this grade unless the record is sealed
  • NM: No visible or audible faults
  • EX: Record has clearly been used, but has no major audible faults, some non sounding marks possible, maybe some dirt or light surface noise (especially on older mono record, surface noise is quite normal).
  • VG: Light audible faults, ticks or surface noise
  • G: scratches, etc. I don't sell record in this condition, unless they are very special and collectible.
Records are first graded visually. If I have doubts, I grade them on my linn lp12 / clearaudio concerto. If not satisfied, please contact me before leaving negative feedback. Paying buyers will receive positive feedback.
