The sleeve is the original: lightweight cardboard, flip-back, laminated back and front.
Disc and sleeves printed in England, marked  F.R.B.  9/58

Decca label has the characteristic deep groove about 1/2-inch from the edge,
which on some discs is associated with early or first pressings.

MATRIX:  side one:  ZAL 3380 - 4E      side two: ZAL 3381- 2E
additionally marked 'CA' and 'RT' in lead-out area.

THIS  IS  THE  ED1  VERSION  WITH  THE  DECCA  'STEREOPHONIC  TRIANGLE'

RECORD: Played using Goldring GL78 / Ortofon F15EE mkII / Kenwood KR-5020 / KOSS Pro4AA headphones .

SIDE 1: plays EX plus (some soft tics and surface noise at end of second movement)

SIDE 2: plays EX plus  (some occasional soft background noise)                                   

                              Generally EXCELLENT SOUND

                              Visual grade:
                              Side 1: EX PLUS;   Side 2: EX PLUS

             Cover: EX plus -  slight lifting of laminate at outer edge, and very slight wear due to record's rim pressure.

              Inner sleeve:     N M

              LABELS:      N M :  faint spindle marks.

Please note: Even if an LP has only been played a couple of times, it may not be perfect.
This is especially noticeable on classical records, which have quiet passages. 
They may utilise variable groove pitch and have a wide dynamic range.
People collect vinyl LPs because they sound warmer and less clinical than CDs;
but some surface noise is inevitable with an LP, which in some cases may be 50 or 60 years old.

This disc is carefully inspected and cleaned and will be securely packed and labelled.
I have graded this record's condition as accurately as possible.

Grading Criteria:

Vinyl:

Mint (M): Perfect : This record looks as it just left the manufacturer, with no flaws whatsoever.  No scuffs or scratches.
Near Mint (NM) : This record appears virtually flawless, only minor scuffs on the vinyl. It should play without any noise over any flaw.
Excellent (EX) : Minor scuffs which are only slightly visible. There may be several scuffs. It should play with little noise over the flaw. Label may show faint spindle marks.
Very Good (VG) : Record will show more wear, surface scuffs. The vinyl still has good lustre, but flaws noticeable to the naked eye may cause some surface clicks or noise. Spindle marks noticeable, indicate greater usage.
Good  (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.

Sleeve Grade

Mint Cover (M) - Factory fresh. No stickers, address labels, writing on the covers or labels. No tears or seam splits. No wear to the cover. Age of the record has not affected its appearance.
Near Mint (NM) - The cover looks close to perfect with only minor signs of wear or age. slight lifting of laminate etc.
Excellent (EX) - Artwork is still close to perfect. Some impression to the cover (minor outer ring wear) but no print damage. Some slight creases to the corners, but not obtrusive to the eye. Laminate may have flaked in a few places.
Very Good (VG) - The sleeve looks clean with slightly more aging. The back of the cover may show its age. White paper may be yellowed. Possible slight stains, foxing or mildew. Some minor wear to the seams or spine, but no tears or holes.
Good (G) The cover and the contents may suffer from creasing, scuffing of edges, spine splits,  age discoloration, small tears etc.
